If the scent becomes light, you can reestablish the flow by flipping the reeds every two days, and then reduce how often you flip them so that you achieve your desired scent.

It all depends on how strong or light you want the scent. More reeds diffuse stronger scent. And of course, less reeds diffuse lighter. We recommend starting with 1-3 and then add more if you want more fragrance. The strength also can be affected by the humidity in the room and the room temperature.
